REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was located in the Eugene Island area off the Louisiana coast, and measured 1.33 NM long and .2 NM at its widest. The anomaly contrasted with the background environment, and was distinguishable from natural phenomena and biogenic material in the area. Winds were light from the SE at 4 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly contrasted with the background but was not silvery or shimmery. No point source could be identified, there were multiple wells and pipelines in the immediate vicinity.
