REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was dark in contrast to the surrounding environment and had well-defined edges. The slick also seemed to emanate from a nearby facility that was involved in the previous NRC report #1423600. The report states that during maintenance of the facility, a sheen of unknown origin appeared nearby. The slick was approximately 0.86 nm in length and 0.15 nm in width at the widest point. Winds were approximately 12 kts from the Southeast at the time of image, which fit the observed trajectory of the slick. For these reasons, Confidence for this report is High.
