REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The linear slick appeared to emanate from the location of the Destroyed Taylor Platform, a known a repeat leak source. The slick had a strong contrast against its background and appeared out of place. It measured approximately 8.3 nm in length, and 0.3 nm at its widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the NW at around 11 kts.
