REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was approximately 9 NM off the Louisiana coast in the Ship Shoal area. The anomaly tested negative for vegetation and contrasted with the signatures of other natural phenomena in the area. The anomaly was long and thin extending to the southwest from the suspected facility source, with a bright silver streak in the middle indicating thicker oil. The anomaly measured 1.3 NM long and .1 NM across. Winds were 5 kts from the northeast.
