REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was approximately 1.28 nm long and approx. 0.09 nm wide. It had a shimmery center which indicated relatively thicker oil was present. It had moderate contrast against the ocean background and was distinguishable from natural phenomena and natural seeps. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the NW at 9 kts which aligned well with the orientation of the slick.



UNCERTAINTIES: There were oil facilities, pipelines, and wells in the vicinity which made it difficult to determine a point source.
