REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was approximately 4.09 nm long and approx. 0.41 nm wide. The dark colored anomaly had a strong contrast against the ocean background. It did not test positive for vegetation and was distinguishable from natural phenomena/seeps in the vicinity. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the E at 10 kts which aligned well with the orientation of the slick.



UNCERTAINTIES: There were pipelines near the slick that could have been a possible point source. Also, there was a possibility that the smaller anomaly seen SE of the slick could have broken off.
