REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil slick was observed in the Grand Isle area and measured approximately 9.3nm in length and up to 0.8nm in width. There were multiple pockets of a brighter white sheen evident in the imagery, which may have been an indication of relatively thicker oil. The rest of the anomaly appeared dark but exhibited more of a shimmer than the surrounding ocean scene. Due to these factors, our confidence in this report was Medium-High. Winds were ESE at approximately 5-10kts at the time of the imagery. 

UNCERTAINTIES: A single point source could not be confidently determined. There were no recent NRC reports or NOAA Response Link Hotlines in the area.
