REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was in the Main Pass area off the Louisiana coast, was generally thin and linear, oriented NW-SE with slight widening to the NW. The anomaly had strong contrast with well defined edges and was distinguishable  from natural phenomena and seeps. The anomaly measured approximately 4 NM long, .2 NM at its widest. Winds were from SE at 10 kn, aligning with the orientation of the anomaly spreading to the NW.

UNCERTAINTIES: A point source was not identified as there were multiple wells, platforms, and pipelines in the immediate vicinity.
