This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was in the Main Pass area near Breton Sound and the Chandeleur Islands, Louisiana. The anomaly measured approximately 5 NM long and 1.5 across its widest, had strong contrast against the background environment with well defined edges and was distinguishable from natural phenomena and seeps. Winds were from SE at 10 kn. UNCERTAINTIES: A point source was not identified as there were multiple wells, platforms, and pipelines in the immediate vicinity.
