REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was in the Lake Pelto area of Louisiana and measured 1.75 NM long and .05 at its widest. The anomaly was not collocated with any natural seeps, did not test positive for vegetation, and stood out from other natural phenomena with bright silver patches indicating possible thicker oil. The anomaly appeared to be moving towards the NW from a platform, which aligned with winds at the time of 13 kn from the SE.

UNCERTAINTIES: There were two other facilities and multiple wells within 200 m of the suspected source. The point source in this report was selected for its closer proximity and direction to the SE given wind conditions.
