REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly extended from Grand Isle west into the Bay Marchand area of Louisiana and measured 4 NM long and .05 at its widest. The anomaly was not collocated with any natural seeps, did not test positive for vegetation, and stood out from the background with bright silver patches indicating possible thicker oil closer to the point source. Winds were 13 kn from the SE.

UNCERTAINTIES: The extent of the anomaly was a best estimate given scattered patches of clouds and a very faint signature at the western end which might have been mistaken with natural phenomena.
