REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was approximately 2.5 NM long and .5 NM across at its widest, located in the South Pass area and Garden Island Bay. The anomaly was possibly related to NOAA ResponseLink Hotline 10964, an ongoing wellhead leak identified as the point source in this report. Winds were from SE at 13 kn, which aligned with the possible oil moving to the northwest of the point source.

UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly was distinguishable from natural phenomena but false positives are prevalent in the area, and high levels of sediment have been recently reported, making it difficult to estimate thicker oil with confidence despite the indicative shiny, silvery patches throughout the anomaly.
